ACRONYM: ESPECTROATUNIA

The objective of the project is to develop an automated classification system for frozen, bagged tuna loins into categories using hyperspectral image analysis techniques and artificial intelligence models, making it possible to optimize industrial processes thanks to the ability to inspect loins at origin.

This is intended to be a first step toward optimizing fish-classification processes by making it possible to know, at origin and automatically, product quality and its optimal destination (fresh/frozen fish market or canned-fish market).

The project is funded by CDTI and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the objective of promoting technological development, innovation, and high-quality research.
